Session 2: Building Culture and Resilience for Digital Transformation
11.30am - 12.30pm
Sopra Steria’s 2016 Government Digital Trends Survey has found that one quarter of civil servants consider management culture a barrier that prevents them from moving towards digital public services. More than 50 per cent believe lack of digital training for staff to be a barrier; this session explores how we can ensure we build culture and resilience that support digital transformation and achieve the potential that digital brings.
We heard how GDS is leading by example, how big tech companies are changing their culture, how women are changing the leadership model, and how the culture of central government and a FTSE 100 business compare.
